The following schedule of vehicle consignment fees and sale commissions apply to all eBay trading assistant auctions, and are payable according to the terms and conditions of the vehicle consignor agreement. Consignment fees are not credited against commissions, and are non-refundable and non-transferable. Commission is charged only in the event of a vehicle sale (see vehicle consignor agreement). Consignment fees are payable upon acceptance of the consignor agreement terms.
Consignment Fees (non-refundable)
- $140.00 - Digital Image Enhancement Fee
This premium photographic service provides you with two (2) digitally enhanced jpeg images of your vehicle for use as gallery pictures with your eBay auction listing. Each selected original is subjected to a software process that masks out the original background and replaces it with a fictional premium location. The resultant images are comparable to those found on luxury-class automobile calendars. The process will not in any way alter the physical appearance of your car.
- $42.00 - eBay Reserve Auction Set-up Fee
eBay Motors charges sellers a reserve auction set-up fee of forty-two dollars on all vehicle auction listings. The auction trading assistant will forward your fee to eBay upon completion of the auction listing.
- $65.00 - Trading Assistant Auction Management Fee
Your eBay auction trading assistant makes every effort to see that your vehicle sells. The auction management fee helps to defray the cost of compiling your vehicle's vital statistics for online bidder inspection.
When Your Vehicle Sells
- $40.00 - eBay "Car Sold" Fee
eBay Motors charges forty dollars on all successful vehicle auctions. Your eBay auction trading assistant will forward your fee to eBay at the end of the auction billing cycle. (note: this fee is not credited against commissions)
- 5.3% - Final Sale Price Commission (At or Below Reserve)
Your eBay trading assistant charges a flat 5.3% commission on all vehicles sold at auction, or by private sale up to the set auction reserve price.
- 20% - Above Reserve Commission
Your eBay trading assistant charges a flat 20% commission on all monies received for the sale of your vehicle above the set auction reserve price. This fee is payable on both auction and private sale transactions, and is in addition to the flat 5.3% commission charged on monies received up to the set auction reserve price.
