If you are new to the auction bidding process, you may be unaware of the procedures and obligations you will be responsible for before you are allowed to bid at a Manor & Street auction. We strongly encourage anyone interested in bidding to read and understand all of the terms and conditions of bidding as published online, or on the reverse side of our bidder's registration form. When registering to bid, all applicants must include with their signed agreement an irrevocable bank letter of guarantee certifying funds available for purchase to a maximum allowable limit. Acceptable methods of payment are cash, cashier's check, certified bank check, or personal/company check. If you are unfamiliar with the bank letter of guarantee, a sample letter has been provided (see pagelink above) for you to print off and give to your banking representative for reproduction on official bank letterhead. Be sure to have the letter notarized, or it will not be accepted. Cashiers checks must be made payable to Manor & Street, LLC. Cash bidders will be asked to leave a 10% deposit at the time of registration.

Since all vehicles are sold [AS IS, WHERE IS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR GUARANTEES OF ANY TYPE], bidders should be prepared to thoroughly inspect any car they are interested in prior to bidding. Under auction law, the bidder becomes the legal owner of the vehicle when the auctioneer says 'sold.' As the officially recognized purchaser of a car, the successful bidder is legally bound to tender full payment to the seller or representative thereof on sale day regardless of any differences, faults, or problems encountered with the car after purchase.

After successfully completing the bid registration process, you will be issued an officially numbered Manor & Street bid card. To place a bid at auction, simply raise your bid card until the auctioneer acknowledges you. If nobody tops your bid, the auction hammer comes down, and the vehicle is yours (subject to acceptance of bid by seller for vehicles with reserve price). Consider pre-registering to bid, and avoid long lines at the auction. By printing out and mailing a signed copy of the pre-registration form (see link above), along with an original Irrevocable Bank Letter of Guarantee, you can have your bid card waiting for you when you arrive at the auction. It's easy and simple.

If you are the successful bidder, a Manor & Street clerk will approach you and ask you to sign the purchase ticket (a 5% buyer's fee will be added to the bid price along with any applicable taxes). You will then be asked to make payment for the vehicle at the settlement office. Payment should be made in full within sixty (60) minutes of purchase or a forfeiture of the vehicle may be affected to allow time for the vehicle to be reintroduced over the auction block.
