Winning Bid

Should you be recognized by the auctioneer as the winning bidder on a particular lot, you may at your discretion proceed to the cashiers desk to make arrangements for payment, and pick-up/delivery of your purchase. Manor & Street levys no additional surcharge on items purchased at our regularly scheduled Habitat consignment sales. For purchases made at one of our specialty (automobile, equine, antique, real estate, decorative art, historical furnishings, etc.), or commercial sales, Manor & Street assesses the customary per lot buyer's premium of 10% on purchases up to and including $50,000, and 5% on any amount in excess (subject to change at the discretion of Manor & Street). The buyer's premium is calculated in relation to the final, or ÒhammerÓ price called by the auctioneer. For example, if the hammer price of an object is $1,000, another $100 or 10% would be added to the purchase price as the buyer's premium. The buyer's premium is much like the service fee charged by stock brokerage firms when they negotiate a trade for a client. It covers the additional cost of doing business over and above the actual stock transaction. Sales tax, where applicable, will be charged on the full amount of purchases made through Manor & Street. Payment is due in full within twenty-four (24) hours of purchase on auction items priced up to and including $25,000, and within three (3) working days for all other amounts. You may pay for purchases with cash, check, money order, or wire transfer. If you pay by check, your purchase may be held until the check has cleared. We also accept Visa and Mastercard for purchases up to and including $25,000 total per sale.

Pick-up and Delivery

Unless otherwise stated, all Manor & Street auction purchases must be removed from the auction site within twenty-four (24) hours of purchase. Should an item need to be held for a longer period of time, Manor & Street will arrange for storage, and append any incurred charges to the final invoice.
